OBJECTIVE

At Agresta, Storms & O’Leary, PC (ASO) our Tax Managers play a key role in delivering exceptional tax and advisory services while building lasting relationships with clients. In this position, you’ll oversee daily tax engagements, review client data, stay current on legislative changes, and prepare or review tax returns for a variety of clients. You’ll also have the opportunity to support, lead, and mentor a talented team of accountants—helping them grow in their careers while contributing to the firm’s shared success. Full time positions are available in our Batesville, Columbus, Greensburg, and Indianapolis offices.

CLIENT SERVICE

  • Work on various tax returns, including those for individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, and non-profits, under the direct supervision of a supervisor or designated manager, depending on the size of the engagement
  • Prepare and review tax returns and client data following the Firm's policies and procedures
  • Review accounting data and financial statements working within budgets guidelines
  • Identify and research tax questions, including tax savings opportunities
  • Become familiar with the Firm's policies, procedures, manuals, forms and relevant software
  • Assist team members with client management by gathering tax information, researching tax issues, and providing recommendations for business and process improvements
  • Continuously develop your job knowledge regarding client operations, processes, business objectives, and federal and state tax issues
  • Maintain direct communication with clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • 5+ years’ experience of public accounting experience
  • 3+ years accounting supervisory/managerial experience
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Tax return preparation (1040, 1065, 1120, 990) experience
  • Computer savvy; embrace and learn new technology with ease
