We’re hiring! We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with at least one year of tax experience to join our team full-time on-site. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, working on tax returns, while playing a key role in upholding the Firm’s goals and values through professionalism, clear communication, and strong working relationships.

OBJECTIVE: Staff in our tax department perform preparation and analysis for a wide variety of tax projects for all offices. Staff support the Firm's goals and values through all professional communications and strong working relationships. Positions available in Indianapolis, Batesville, Greensburg and Columbus offices.

CLIENT SERVICE
  • Works on various tax returns (individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, and non-profit) under direct supervision of a supervisor or designee
  • Direct communications with clients
  • Preparation of 1099s and related documentation
  • Prepares tax returns and client data following the Firm policies and procedures
  • Performs any other work assigned by the Manager or Supervisor
  • Becomes familiar with the Firm's policies, procedures, manuals, forms and relevant software
  • Assist other team members with client management such as gathering tax information, research of tax problems, recommendations for business and process improvement
  • Continuous learner developing job knowledge of client operations, processes, business objectives as well as federal and state tax issues
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's or master's degree
  • Willingness to learn
  • 1 - 4 years accounting experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Computer savvy; embrace and learn new technology with ease!

Education: 
  • Bachelor's preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Must be able to reliably commute to our surrounding offices including Batesville, Columbus, Greenwood, Indianapolis, and Seymour.
