Tracy Souza is currently President and CEO of Heritage Fund-the Community Foundation of
Bartholomew County. She assumed leadership of the community foundation in 2011 following her retirement from Cummins Inc. During her 32 years at Cummins, Souza worked in Human Resources, Recruiting and Development, Internal Communications, Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility. She retired as President of The Cummins Foundation in 2011.
During her time at Cummins, Souza was the project manager for the Cummins Child Development Center, sponsor of nursing mother rooms in all Cummins facilities, developer of a global network of community involvement teams and creator of the Every Employee Every Community program that allows company sponsored time for community involvement. Souza had lead responsibility for headquarter community relations including the architecture program, United Way and Vision 2020 Downtown revitalization.
Souza’s role at Heritage Fund involves management of the $68M endowment, a community grants program, donor development and catalytic community engagement. Souza remains involved with numerous community boards including the Community Education Coalition, Columbus Economic Development Board, The Commons Board, The Columbus Area Sports Advisory Committee and the Columbus Capital Foundation. She also serves as a member of the Indiana Philanthropic Alliance Board.
Tracy teaches yoga and enjoys Pilates, dancing, travel, and cooking. She and her husband have lived in Columbus since 1980, where they raised their four children.
