Intro to Coding Two-Day Training
So you have no coding experience? Or programming experience? Or web development experience? That’s perfect! This is where you should begin. You have to start somewhere, and by taking this weekend course, you’ll get the proper introduction to begin your journey with coding.
Students should be at least 17 years of age.
By completing this course, you’ll be able to:
Introductory terminology and languages (compiled vs. non-compiled; 1’s and 0’s)
Side-by-side comparison
Syntax (Operators)
Variables (String, Int, Decimal)
More Types (Bool, Arrays/Dictionaries)
“If” logic
Expressions
Loops
Puzzles
Functions (add, subtract, etc.)
Scope / Algorithms (Blue Screen, Sorting)
OOP / Objects / Classes
Inheritance

Class members should commit to the entire 2-day program.

Skills: None (Can you work a computer mouse?)
Hardware: Your own laptop (Chromebooks are available if necessary)
