Columbus Workforce Vanpool Forum
The City of Columbus has created a program to help workers who don't have reliable transportation. The city will pay 65% of the cost of a vanpool program. Come learn how your company may benefit by meeting Heather White from Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA). Some of the advantages of the program:
- Expands your labor pool
- Can serve employees who live outside the county as long as they work in Columbus
- No liability to company
- Low cost for employers and workers
- Can operate during any shift
- Can connect workers to a carpooling app
- Emergency rides home for those who must work overtime
- Vanpools developed by CIRTA coordinator
